Hello, artists! Schoharie County Arts invites you to participate in the Schoharie County Arts Trail Driveabout, a tour of art studios and more, on Saturday and/or Sunday, Oct. 5-6, 2024.
Schoharie County Arts is hosting its second annual Arts Trail Driveabout on Saturday and Sunday, October 5-6, 2024 from 10am-4pm. This county-wide event will celebrate the creativity of area artists and artisans by encouraging the public to visit your studio or a designated venue where you can set up to display and sell your work. The Driveabout will be a self-guided tour throughout Schoharie County during peak foliage season. We look forward to visiting the studios to meet the artists and assess parking, accessibility, etc.

SCA will create and provide maps, postcards, flyers, digital material, and directional yard signs.

Rules for participating:
- Have a body of authentic art, which you have created.
- Place directional yard signs to get to your studio.
- Be at your designated location during the publicized hours on the day(s) you have committed to: Saturday, October 5 and/or Sunday, October 6, 2024, 10am-4pm.
- If your studio is located in your home, please request a certificate of liability insurance from your homeowner’s policy carrier naming Schoharie County Arts an additional insured. Our address is P.O. Box 812, Cobleskill, NY 12043. Certificates should be sent to [email protected].
- Collect and pay New York State sales tax.
- Have a New York State Sales Tax Certificate of Authority: https://www.tax.ny.gov/e-services/elcoa/ and have all legal permits as required by your local governing body.
- Help publicize the Arts Trail Driveabout on your social media and/or send out invitations (via email or mail).
- Display your tools and materials, and/or offer a demonstration of your creative process.
- Offer a small refreshment at your studio and hand out maps.
- Ask visitors to complete the e-mail address/contact form provided.
- Arrange for studio assistant(s) to assist with visitors, sales, collection of names and contact information, etc. (if needed).
- If you are displaying outside, you will need to provide your own canopy, table, etc.
