I am a mixed-media artist based in upstate New York. I create work in painting, collage, ceramics, and animation. My work explores relationships and communication through shifts in scale, form, and material. I examine how perception shapes human connection. Using semi-abstract figures interwoven with landscape imagery, I create densely layered compositions marked by vibrant color and dreamlike logic. Rearranged bodies, shifting scales, and landscapes with human qualities inhabit fluid, unsettled spaces where identity remains unstable and meaning is in flux. These works unfold slowly, inviting sustained looking and reflection.
My process often begins in a sketchbook with recognizable forms—faces, figures, and landscapes, sometimes drawn from direct observation. In the studio, these forms evolve through layering, revision, and experimentation. They gradually shift from the familiar toward the imagined.
