Middleburgh Porch Fest  2026

On Sunday, September 13 from 1-5 pm the streets of Middleburgh will come alive with the sounds of live local music. Music in the Burgh is proud to announce the second annual Middleburgh Porch Fest, a free and family-friendly music festival.  We invite community members to attend the performances on lawns, driveways, garages, and porches throughout our charming Village. The event will feature spontaneous concerts, soulful performances, and heartfelt jams.  It will be similar to a village wide garage sale but with music.
    We are proud to be part of an international movement that celebrates the power of music to bring people together. The original Porchfest began in Ithaca, NY in 2007 and has since expanded to over 150 communities. Similarly, Play Music on the Porch Day, is observed in more than 70 countries on the same day, emphasizing the global reach of this cultural phenomenon.
    We, Music in the Burgh, have brought this spirit to our hometown. The event involves residents opening their porches to local musicians, whether known or introduced through our assistance.  Performances are scheduled in one hour blocks, with coordination to avoid conflicts. We ask that volume levels be maintained at a considerate level. Folks can enjoy a leisurely stroll thru our neighborhoods, moving from tune to tune. We welcome all styles and all levels of ability. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced recording artist, we encourage you to share your talent with your friends and neighbors. A totally unique musical experience awaits as you stroll along our streets.
