Painting Commission Opportunity In collaboration with CREATE Council On The Arts, the FASNY Museum of Firefighting in Hudson is commissioning two artworks depicting specific scenes that are period accurate from a historic NYC event: the burning of the Barnum Museum. The artworks will be exhibited at the Museum in a new exhibit which will open on May 31, 2025, and will be active for at least one year. Painting subjects must depict either a) The rescue of Ned the learned seal b) the face-off between a firefighter and a tiger This is an opportunity for artists residing in Columbia, Greene, or Schoharie Counties. SCA offers a cohesive organization to develop and strengthen the arts through promoting cultural and arts-related activities. The board of directors is diverse in backgrounds but with common goals: to advance individual artists and arts organizations and support arts education, while contributing to the cultural and economic growth of our county.
