In partnership with the New York State Council on the Arts, the arts organization Shake on the Lake is administering ten statewide $10,000 New York State Rural & Traditional Arts Fellowship grants to ten artists in rural New York State, now in its third year.

The Cobleskill Art In Action Festival & Auction is held to promote original visual art and to contribute the vibrancy of the Cobleskill community. The festival will occur in the heart of downtown Cobleskill in Veterans Centre Park and Main Street sidewalks. Rain Location will be SUNY Cobleskill. CLICK IMAGE FOR APPLICATION

2025 Congratulations to the following artists and organizations awarded a grant to bring art to Schoharie County with funds from Schoharie County/NYPA Relicensing Grants and administered by
Schoharie County Arts:
Artist Casey Beal – will bring block printing workshops to the community
George Landis Arboretum – will bring the Insolent Willies musical group to the Landis Arboretum Music Series in 2025
Cobleskill United Methodist Church – will bring musician Jeff Grippen to the community at their Community Block Party
The Jefferson Art Room – will create parade puppets to march in Jefferson's Heritage Day Parade in 2025
Schoharie Promotional Association – will bring the Red Wagon musical group to the Association's Summer Concert Series in 2025
The Community Library – will create eight Schohary 250th Revolutionary Jackdaws for children in the Schoharie community

Schoharie County’s art community is vibrant with cultural traditions and innovative engagement. From theater to choral groups to painters to singers to instrumentalists to crafters – Schoharie County has them all. SCA offers a cohesive organization to develop and strengthen the arts through promoting cultural and arts-related activities. The board of directors is diverse in backgrounds but with common goals: to advance individual artists and arts organizations and support arts education, while contributing to the cultural and economic growth of our county.
