Mission Statement:

It is the mission of Schoharie County Arts to broaden and enrich the quality of life in Schoharie County by developing and strengthening the arts through promoting cultural and arts-related activities, educating the public, advancing individual artists and arts organizations, and utilizing arts-related technology while contributing to the cultural and economic growth in the County.

Our Board of Directors:

Lisa Ovitt, Board President
Lisa served as president of the board of directors of Theater Project of Schoharie County for five years.  During that time, Theater Project attained incorporation, IRS Section 501(c)3 tax exempt status, partnered with a capital region high school graphic arts class to develop a logo, and received several  DEC grants.  New York Farm Bureau’s paralegal by day, Lisa is an arts support who never misses an outdoor concert in Schoharie County during the summer.

Anthony Leberto
Food has been Anthony’s passion since childhood and - with his background as a pastry chef, wedding cake designer, restaurant chef and manager, food stylist and positions with numerous hospitality companies - there’s very little in the food world that Anthony hasn’t done. His eye for form, color, and design, led him to food styling and work for editorial and advertising clients.  Anthony currently operates Brimstone Bakery in Sharon Springs, and he believes art is vital to spiritual, personal, and community growth.
